How we began.
While helping our community recover and rebuild after the 2013 EF5 tornado disaster, a group of friends realized many individuals and families in our community did not have the resources for basic healthcare. The Health Alliance for the Uninsured and the Cleveland County Health Department estimated that at least 30% of our neighbors were in need of basic primary care and essential prescription medications.
As our group met together to pray and discuss the situation, they felt led to organize an all-volunteer free health clinic and pharmacy. Moore Faith Medical Clinic, Inc. was officially licensed as a 501c3 charity clinic and pharmacy in July, 2015. Seven years later this free clinic has provided an estimated $10.7 Million in free healthcare. In 2015 Oklahoma’s national health ranking was 49th. With the help of “Safety Net” clinics like MFMC, this ranking has improved to 45th.
